Foolishly, I just dropped some pins in iPhone 5 Maps. Now I don't know how to remove/delet them.

Any step-step instructions most appreciated.

I was afraid of that, e.g., 718 views and no replies. No wonder my Google search was unproductive.

Still, if anyone has a suggestion, I'll give it a go.

Perhaps when Apple updates their Maps app…

Tap the pin and there should be an option to delete the pin in the info box that pops up (I think you have to tap the arrow to get the options?).

This. The only way you can delete a pin that's been manually placed is to tap on it, go to the details, and then click the delete button from the details page.

Thanks for the tips guys (or gals).

But alas, Operator Error must be in play, as I am unable to achieve success. Clearly, I am doing something wrong.

I'll keep trying…

If it's a red pin placed by a search, tap on search and pick "clear search results". (it might not be the exact words as I'm working from memory).

After much mucking about, still no joy. I have a trip to the Apple store next week and hopefully they'll show me the error in my ways (at least as relates to this issue). When joy has again returned to the land, I'll post back with the school solution.

Still, my thanks for your valiant efforts.
