Apple could add something useful instead of the camera button nobody asked for. Like 16GB of RAM, the X80 modem, and a 1-inch main camera sensor. The hardware on the iPhone is quickly falling behind if they don't add these things. But Apple probably doesn't care. It's all about the money!

It’s not difficult to add these things. Any manufacturer can do it.
Yeah sure buddy, just add a one inch camera sensor no big deal.
Oh? What’s that? Now people are pissed off at the Canon EOS sized camera bump necessary to utilize a sensor that size? Damn.

Well, at least we got rid of the camera button. Oh what did you say? The people who hated losing 3D Touch are annoyed that the camera button, which they had started getting used to, is now gone? No problem, if you need to take a picture in a hurry just swipe down from the top corner that your thumb can’t reach and press the camera icon on the screen, it’s instant!

Thank god I have 16GB of RAM now, my iPhone 16 Pro Max was so sluggish, just chugging along, it was embarrassing!

So, what are you saying? The camera button is useless. The entire phone moves when you press it. Is that good?

Why only 16GB of RAM? Why not 32GB? 64GB? Why doesn't Apple add a full mechanical zoom lens that comes out 3 inches?
32GB is a bit much at the moment. 8GB, on the other hand, is too little. Apple intelligence will require more than that for newer features in, say, 2 years from now?

They could save some money by removing it, which then could be spent on more useful things like RAM, for example.
iCamera is a more appropriate name for the product; the fact that it can do the same things a Nokia 3310 could do is a nice feature, but it’s basically like the calculator app at this point.
The fact that these $1000 cameras had no button in them to instantly open the camera until now is kind of nuts.

Why not use some of the other 48 different ways to open the camera app instantly? A few lines of code is all that it takes.

I laugh at these posts, why? Some of these comments will argue about the lack of “innovation” and when it’s introduce then it’s not enough or just a “gimmick”. No winning with these types. Apple Intelligence has not even been released but these same comments are taking about the future possibility of it.

We see this with the iPad where the hardware is more capable than the OS for many many years, yet Apple has not even utilized the HW potential completely. 16GB on an iPhone 😂😂😂

You can compare the new Samsung Galaxy S24 from this year with an iPhone 14 Pro from 2 years ago on Geekbench and the "old" iPhone beats it both in single-core (44%) and multi-core (10%).

It's been happening year over year since quite a few years actually.
Yep, and despite being an All New Design™ the desktop Snapdragons with the Oryon core ended up falling in the same 2-3 years behind range.
