For all the 2010 15" owner out there who's annoyed by the squeaking noise coming from the center of their beloved macbook pros, you can get rid of it by following the instruction from the following link:
http://tenonedesign.com/blog/fix-your-macbook-pro-like-a-champ/
note: the squeaking noise is different from the HD reading head parking sound when sudden movement censer is triggered, if you can recreate the noise by applying slight pressure at the lower center of the bottom cover, then this instruction is for you.
By the way, I only removed the metal pin within the part, and screw the empty plastic piece back to place. I think the plastic part also serves as some kind of support between the top piece and bottom cover so I put it in back in after taking out the metal pin instead of removing the entire part.
Hope this helps
