I accidentally downloaded the EFI 2.7 update and have no intention of bricking my MBP. How would I go about removing an update from Software Update that hasn't been installed yet?

I believe the installer that is downloaded ends up in /Applications/Utilities. Delete it and then when it shows up again in Software Update, tell it to ignore that one. Out of curiosity, why do you think the firmware update will brick the system?
