Remove video zoom?

When you switch from cam to vid the phone zooms in a bit, I'm guessing because of distortion from a wide lens effect. Is there a hack to stop it from zooming and being less wide angle?

Actually I think it zooms a bit when recording to stabalize the video.

Don't know of you realize, they didn't do that just to inconvenience you. Pictures can be taken at much higher than 1080p across. That is the limit of the video camera to keep its quality.
