Removed iBooks from iCloud drive and lost all my books on my iPad!!!

Hi,

I had a bunch of books in my iBooks library on my iPad. Today I enabled iBooks syncing to check how it worked, but after a little while I decided to turn it off. But then all my books were gone from iBooks on my iPad! How can I recover them? I don't want to have iCloud drive enabled, I just want the files to be in my iPad as they were before.

Good luck with this, I’ve always had issues with syncing. Especially MS notes & Evernote. How do you define which device is the master?
