Hay folks,

Well, like the title says. I pulled out the sim card on my un-hacked, un-jailbroken iPhone, powered it on and I am still able to use wifi and all my apps and widgets (except for the phone and SMS function, obviously)

I was under the impression that the device was totally useless and it's functionality locked down if the sim card is removed.

Did I miss a article somewhere that says :apple: now lets iPhones without a SIM card to essentially be used as a iPod Touch with camera built in?

Please disregard my post if this is old news.

If you reset it without the sim card you will not be able to use it anymore. If you are able to stay away from a reset you're good to go.
