It seems they’ve removed the default new mail vibration in iOS 12.
There are still some to choose from, and you can create a custom one, but whichever default I had selected on iOS 11 has gone and the default is now none.
I think it used to be “synchronised” like Messages.
Edit: ignore this whole thread. I just checked on my sister’s boyfriend’s iPhone X who hasn’t updated yet and the default vibration for new email was “Quick”.
I guess because the new default is nothing it changed mine automatically on update. I’ve changed it back to Quick.
