Hi Guys,
I had a strange issue this morning. My set up was 21" iMac (2012) and two daisy chained TB 27" displays.
Last night I removed the middle TB (the one that the 2nd TB was plugged into) and connected the 2nd TB into the iMac.
As you probably guessed on startup the TB did not wake up. I have tried all remedies I could find relating to this issue including the PRAM and SMC resets, removing power cords...you name it. Nothing helped.
In a last ditch effort I used a MDP/TB extension cord to connect the TB instead of the connector on the TBs wire. So I ended up with the TB connected through its own TB port to the iMac's TB port.
That of course fixed the problem
I'm completely useless when it comes to Macs so was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to why this is happening.
Regards,
Alex
