removing album artwork from lockscreen

i could never find the tweak but this will work use iFile or SSH or whatever to get in the phone

Navigate to "System/Library/SpringBoardPlugins"

Rename "NowPlayingArtLockScreen.bundle" to "NowPlayingArtLockScreen_.bundle" or anything of that nature (best to not affect the name but just add a symbol of some kind)

Respring and it should work. No album covers anymore.

I've done this but my album cover is still appearing on my lockscreen now. I even tried deleting "NowPlayingArtLockScreen.bundle" file and nothing. Can't figure it out. Not sure what I downloaded to prevent it. :confused:

The bundle trick works in 4.2.1--maybe something changed in later firmware?

Music Controls Pro has a switch in settings that's supposed to turn the lockscreen artwork off; that feature doesn't work in 4.2.1, so now I wonder if it works in later firmware versions. It's a free five day trial if anyone wants to give it a shot.

It's weird. It always worked for me but I just noticed that it stopped working the other day. Can't figure it out.
 
Anyone got this working that are on 5.0.1?

I've tried the method posted here which doesn't work and also the option in Springtomize 2 that also doesn't work :confused:
 
I deleted the NowPlayingArtLocSscreen.bundle file and set both Springtomize 2 and Lckinfo to Hide Album Art on the lockscreen....
Still the artwork appears on the lockscreen.

I am jail broken (semi tethered) on 5.1.
 
The only thing I've done to remove the album artwork is Springtomize2 and it works fine for me. Just incase, as for tweaks that also affect the lockscreen, I'm also using Invisible Tap 2 Unlock iOS5 and Typophone 4.

Just out of curiosity..What iOS are you on?
Are you also using LockInfo?

I uninstalled LockInfo and the Album Art no longer appeared on the lockscreen. I reinstalled LockInfo and the Album Art reappeared, despite the settings in Springtomize 2 and LockInfo to hide the art.
It looks like LockInfo is the problem; however I like LockInfo more than I dislike the album art on the lockscreen.
 
I know old thread but it had the exact title I was searching for. Is there a tweak to do this now.

Never mind (too early I guess), I found the "no Artwork" slider in springtomize.
