Removing alias for network computer

In my finder windows, when I click on "Network" it lists an alias to a computer that I no longer have. How do I delete this? I've tried a "move to trash" but am told that I don't have sufficient permissions to do this. Under Get Info it says that the owner is System. All the ownership stuff (in Get Info window) is pale gray, so can't be changed.

Any ideas? (I'm running Tiger on an eMac)
