I've recently purchased a new printer and installed the software that came with it which is all great except for one minor annoyance: I have an unwanted menubar icon that I cannot seem to get rid of. There is no option to remove it in the preferences and it does not let me command-click it to drag it off. Is there a way to do this or am I going to have to deal with it?

Turns out the app that the icon was coming from was a login item that I had to delete to get it to go away. I think I'll be alright now. ;)

Edit: Oh, you beat me to it. Thanks for the help though.
