Removing background noise.

I've got some video that I need to remove general background noise, any one know if FCE 4 will be able to do this?

I don't believe so. Soundtrack Pro, which comes with Final Cut Studio, has a noise removal algorithm that sometimes works reasonably well, but FCE 4 doesn't even include the basic Soundtrack application anymore.

There are standalone products, though, that may be helpful. SoundSoap is one that people often mention.
