Hi all, a couple weeks ago, I somehow got a nice 1cm microscratch on my 11 Pro Max screen. It’s kind of a thinker scratch which is kind of odd. Thankfully I only can see it in certain light, so long term I can live with it. But I’m just wondering is there is a method that can actually work. I read that toothpaste works but that seems really weird. Lol.

Has anyone else found a method that has worked for them?

You can try diamond paste and a dremel tool but it will take the coating off so you would have to do the whole screen to make it match.

Toothpaste is abrasive and will cause even more issues, definitely not recommended.

I had a microscratch on my iPad Pro 11" back when they had an annoying issue where screen protectors wouldn't register multi-touch taps so you couldn't use a screen protector (which was quietly fixed in a later iOS release). I was cleaning my screen and created a microscratch on the edge, which was frustrating. After they fixed the multi-touch bug I put a screen protector over it and I can no longer see the microscratches.

You could try a screen protector... but any kind of buffing outside of a microfiber cloth and screen-safe cleaner is probably not a good idea.

Thanks all. Yeah it’s not “awful” enough to do any more damage to the screen so yeah I’ll just leave it then.
