Seriously, who use Tablets to take pics? Majority owns a (Smart/Super) Phone that gets the job done, do we really need it in Tablets.

I personally would rather have the next iPad mini (Retina) without a Camera.

About $0.00.

Hypothetical Thread:

[All Hypothetical Camera-less iPads] Adding Camera: How much will it add to the price?

I'll bet that thread will be more popular.

iPad mini is great for facetime.

I'm playing to use the iPad mini camera for facetime chat, to scan barcodes, price scanners, scanning documents, take photos, use text to language translation, and augmented reality.

I wish the Nexus 7 had a rear camera.

Actually, getting rid of both cameras altogether could have dropped the price down to $300ish.

The camera parts estimates are around $16-21 ($4-5 for FaceTime cam, $12-16 for the back camera), so with margin, around $22-28 off the retail price for a hypothetical camera-less iPad mini. Even if estimates are over by half, it'd still be good for a $15 shave.
