MP 1,1-5,1 Removing dosdude1 patches?

This is a question for dosdude1 or anyone else who knows.

I just managed to lay my hands on a 2010 5,1. I'd like to move the system SSD from my 3,1 to the 5,1. If I reinstall (update) Mojave on the SSD, will this remove any patches that are specific to the 3,1?

Or do I need to reformat the SSD and re-install everything?

This will only be temporary. I will move the SSD back to the 3,1, as soon as I can buy an NVME dirive for the 5,1 as system drive. Then the SSD will be re-patched for the 3,1.

Help is greatly appreciated.
