I use Wiretap if I want to use purchased music for background music when using Final Cut Express. iMovie actually allows you to use the DRM'd files but my version of Final Cut Express isn't even compatible with AAC files so I have to use this workaround.

This is an easy solution for something like movie background music but not that good a solution for general DRM-removing because you are inflating the file size to around 10 times as much without improving quality (and re-compressing seriously compromises quality.)

I agree with lossless, but with 128 kb/s file re-encoding doesn't ruin the quality of an alreadly low-quality file.
