I have a late 2013 15-inch MBP. Unfortunately, the battery has begun to swell and I'll most likely be retiring the machine. It has a 500GB SSD hard drive. I was wondering, if I remove the hard drive is there an external enclosure I can put it in and use it like an external drive?

I found this on Amazon and wasn't sure if it would work or if there was a similar option: M.2 NVME SSD Enclosure Tool-Free Adapter

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

I've done it in the past with SATA drives, if you can remove the drive and it's not funky encrypted (which I don't think it should be) then everything will be fine.
