Removing HDD bay fans from PowerMac G5

Hi everyone,

this same thread has been posted here on Dec 4, 2008 by user OrangeSTVguy and answered on Dec 27, 2008 by user Opes.

Unfortunately, the page link in the answer referring to the tutorial I'm looking for seems to have been removed from the web. I cannot find it even using Internet Archive Wayback Machine.

So i'm asking the same question again because I can't find the answer anywhere else:

How can I remove the HDD bay fans from my PowerMac G5 ?

It may look easy but the answer said : "it's not very fun thing to do".

Sure the whole thing looks like no fun at all, but it looks like the tutorial I was looking for.

Anyway I have to change the power supply, which means removing the processors, et caetera...

The good news is that when I have enough money, in a few months, I'll buy myself a brand new MacMini and those two G5s of mine will end up as nice shelves for my cd's.

Not ready to buy a pc, though I have one but rebuilt it from my friends' getting rid of them.
