I'm currently in the process of turning an old busted up MacBook into a Media Center. Long story short, the logic board works fine, but that's about it. I've already removed the internal LCD and the entire top half of the laptop. It's currently hooked up to my HDTV via mini-DVI -> DVI -> HDMI and is running OSX 10.6.3. However, I cannot, for the love of me, figure out how to tell OS X that there is only ONE monitor hooked up. It keeps thinking that the internal LCD is still attached and is therefore still wasting precious GPU power on it. I've spent hours searching the forums and Google for an answer, but I haven't found even a terribly complicated one. So, I'm hoping that a direct question can merit a direct response.

I do apologize if this has been already answered elsewhere, perhaps I'm not using the right terms on Google. Regardless, a push in the right direction would be much appreciated.
