Removing labels from Drive icons

I want to clean up my desktop a little bit more, and the only way I can think of it is by removing the labels from my HD icons.

Is there a way to do it?

No. Simply turn off the displaying of the Hard Disks. And it is not a label, it is the actual name (like C: on Windows). I've removed the hard drives from my desktop, and instead have them in my Dock.
