Removing Mac App Store Apps From Launchpad

I downloaded Alpine Crawler, but I wanted to restart the game, so I deleted it. Launchpad asked me "Do you want to remove Alpine Crawler?" I clicked yes, and then it was gone. There wasn't anything in the trash either. So I have two questions.

Q1: How does Launchpad deal with removing Mac App Store apps?
Q2: Does it also delete the plist files etc.?
