Hey Everyone,
For Christmas I got a copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit to use on my Macbook. I am planning on using it as my main OS. Anyway, the problem I am having is that I have also gotten an external HD. I have put all my personal files on the HD so that I can transfer them to the Windows side. (It is a NTFS drive and I used NTFS-3G to write to it in OS X). Now, the problem I am having on the windows side is that all the ._*name* and .DS_store files are showing up, so when I go to copy over my files, I keep getting errors that the file names are not valid etc. Also, when I try to delete the file, it gives back the same error that the file name is invalid.
Is there a way to remove all these mac hidden files and ds store files so I can be happy to keep everything on my Windows side. Do I have to go on the mac side to show hidden files and delete them that way?
Thanks for any help.
PS - please no gripes about having a mac and just using it for windows. Thanks.
