Removing MacBook (White) Hard Drive NOT IN CADDY

Hi,

I was stupid enough to replace my macbook hard drive and not put the thin metal caddy on the replacement drive, so it looks like i cant remove the drive anymore. Are there any specialist tools i can buy to remove it or will the apple store be able to help me out?

My memory is a little sketchy, so review my suggestion before trying it out.

Also, if you mess up your MB, that's on you. I take no responsibility for your actions.

With that said, could you use a piece of duct tape to act as the pull tab? You might need a thin knife to help apply the tape onto the HDD. Then just pull the drive out being careful not to pull of the tape.

Hi there

It's really easy to solve that, just have to remove the keyboard and take it out from the top, there are some tutorial videos on youtube on how to do it, don't panic
