The Mail Help says to remove account - exactly as I guessed:
hit Mail > Preference and click Accounts.

Except that when I hit Mail > Preference, I get a window that has Rules.

We got a bogus .MAC account that is often the first option when we send e-mail, that we need to delete.

At the top of the 'Rules' window should be a collection of buttons:

General, Accounts, Junk Mail, Fonts & Colors, Viewing, Composing, Signatures, Rules.

Click on Accounts.

There you'll see all your accounts and can delete them.

You need to click on the Accounts section as shown in the pic:

I'm not finding those icons anywhere - and specifically don't find them on the rules window that comes up here. Obviously, I'm looking the wrong places.

As I said in my last post, if you dont see the icons in the Rules window, click on the little oval shape in the top right corner of the Rules window

Click the oval in the top right as shown in the pic below:

You should see the images from the pic I previously posted.

Found it, thanks. Then I had to pull out the help again to find out how to delete it (the +/- at the bottom).

The learning curve to do things the Apple way is slower than anticipated.
