removing microsoft autoupdate

Hi all,
I had Microsoft office for a while before i discovered neooffice and then got rid of office. However I've not been able to get rid of the autoupdate feature. I've no idea where it is and how to remove it but once a week it comes up and asks me to check for updates.

Any ideas how to remove it?

What version of office were you using?

For Office 2004, Microsoft Autoupdate is a seperate app that lives in your applications folder.
