I have both MS Office 2008 and 2011 (Home & Student) installed on the same Lion volume.

I am considering removing Office 2008, but am concerned (worried) that in the process, I will inadvertently damage my Office 2011 apps and files.

What is the best way to completely purge 2008 without harming 2011?

Your tips, suggestions, comments, real-life experiences, and lessons-learned (gotchas) are most appreciated.

In Office 2008 folder > Additional Tools, execute ''Remove Office''. Follow the steps.

Even if you pick the Office 2008 folder and delete it, it won't cause any problem since 2008 and 2011 are put in separated folders and have nothing to do with each other.

I used the assistant in conjuction with Apptrash to completely delete any trace of it.

When/after doing the deletions, is it OK to also remove the associated receipts?

And of course, many thanks for the clear and prompt reply!
