I just received my Microsoft 'Office for Mac 2011' in the mail. Maybe I'm a tad bit excited :D

Anyhow, I noticed that it installed some other applications (aka Microsoft Bloatware) I wasn't expecting (Microsoft Messenger and Microsoft Communicator).

Is it safe to remove these applications by sending them to the trash from the Applications folder? Will I be deleting any required connections? I do not plan on using them in the future.

Cheers,
Shane.

Go for it!

In the future, you can choose to do a custom install and skip over those programs / components you don't need (Communicator, Italian / German / Chinese / etc. proofing tools, Outlook, etc.).
