Removing only the first page footnote in Pages?

Sorry if this is an inappropriate place to post this question, but I wanted to ask -- since I haven't been able to find it -- is there a way to remove only the first page footnote in Pages? I want to keep the other page numbers, but page numbers don't belong on the first page and it's driving me crazy!

You tick the box marked "first page is different" see this screenshot of the inspector for how.
