All,
Problem and Question: The system preference for startup disk still shows 9 as a startup folder even though 9 is no longer on the drive and, if chosen, will crash upon startup. How do I remove 9 from the Startup Disk Preference Pane? Where is this "bit" of information stored? I surmise it must be somewhere other than the HardDrive as when I boot from CD I still get 9 on HD as possible Startup folder.
Condition: new drive installed on an Imac ??, OSX installed, tried to install 9 by dragging and dropping System Folder from another drive, startup wouldn't let me, something about system not able to use System Folder from another media, System Folder deleted by creating a new Untitled Folder and dropping the System Folder (9) into it and then trashing, which worked fine. I've deleted all .plist files related to Classic (I think!).
Any and all help greatly appreciated.
