Hello all!

I am experiencing issues with Quicktime and movies/TV shows within iTunes. Any audio I play within Quicktime plays fine, until I wish to re-locate to a different section of the audio file within the time bar - for it will just go anywhere but where I click.

With video files - the videos play fine until I click, again, a different place within the time bar, and the audio plays, but the video is thence frozen.

(If anyone knows ways 'round these issues, please do leave a comment). Apple were useless on the phone because, though it's a software problem, my hardware warranty has run out.

Anyway... I thought I'd try and remove iTunes and Quicktime, and after viewing the incredibly longwinded way of doing it on OS X (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1224) I can't even drag iTunes into my trash because I get the message "iTunes can't be modified or deleted because it's required by Mac OS X".

On an off chance I downloaded iTunes and ran the installer... it installed but it hasn't solved my issue.

Can any of you wonderful people be more useful than Apple's tech team and offer some words of wise wisdom?

Thank you.

EDIT: I've re-installed iTunes and Quicktime - and this has made no difference! Sad!
