I bought a new printer and I'd like to remove the "Brother Control Center" splash logo that pops up when I boot up my computer. I'd like to remove everything about Brother from my computer as well.

not as easy, when i search up brother there is only the com.brother.ControlCenter.plist file, after deleting that and restarting the damn control centre thing pops up again.

Even after selecting do not boot with windows and do not show splash screen it still does it after a restart.

How the hell do you remove this annoying piece of software!!!

Check in
mac hd~library~startupitems
their might be something there.
are there any options in your system preferences?

To get rid of the splash on start up goto System Preferences - Accounts - goto yours, and take the brother thing out of Login Items.

That should take care of that.

I managed to get rid of it but I don't remember how. Is there something with "brother" in it in library~application support?

I search up brother and the only thing that shows is com.brother.ControlCenter.plist file
nothing in accounts > login items.
no startupitems folder under library.

I have tried deleting the plist file but it just recreates itself.

This is rediculous how you can't remove this stupid thing.

Going to see if I can removing it using OnyX

Strange their should be something in one of those two places.

Try deleting the app. it sounds like it's more than just a simple printer driver.
Most printers usually come with some lame extras. Like photo printing software. All of which you already can do with iPhoto
Have you been to their website. Do they offer just a driver?

Click the Brother icon in the menu bar at top right.
Select 'Preferences'
Uncheck 'Show splash screen'
Done
