I recently deleted the Vuze program but there are some files that won't be removed from my trash. When I empty my trash, I get a pop-up that says:

'The operation can’t be completed because the item “http_www.vuze.com_0.localstorage” is in use.'

There are two files like that. I also feel like it is still affecting my internet browsers. I have Chrome, Firefox and Safari. How do I completely remove this awful program!?

Did you try rebooting and then emptying the trash? It won't let you empty it now because the files are being used...

VUZE has been installing adware lately. Install and run the app MalwareBytes and it should remove the adware for you.

Then restart like wlossw suggested and empty the trash.

Vuze is a complete piece of trash. Installs a bunch of crap. Even when you use the uninstaller (Aplications folder) it doesn't remove completely. Vuze changes Safari settings and installs some spyware extension too.

Avoid like the plague.

I uninstalled vuze about 6 years ago and it still shows my mac on my bluray player.
