Removing wallpaper shadowing?

I'm not sure when this happened, or maybe I'm crazy and it was always the case, but I was wondering if there was a way to easily remove the shadow that appears in the top half of the default wallpaper below. The second image is what the wallpaper should look like and what I remember it looking like before today or perhaps a couple days ago. You can actually get iOS 7 to remove the shadow if you zoom in a bit and make the red portion larger (only if you download the wallpaper and put it in your photos), so I believe it has something to do with iOS 7 detecting if it should use white or black text.

This shadowing seems to only occur on a select few wallpapers, but I really like this one specifically and it has been my wallpaper since iOS 7 came out and I just noticed this today and now it is driving me insane.

Yes, I can't stand this! It's ruined many a good wallpaper for me. Anyone have a fix for this?

I get the shadows on the preview.....But when I look at the lockscreen there are no shadows!!

I found a way to eliminate the shadow, unfortunately it comes at an aesthetic cost. If you reduce motion (Settings - General - Accessibility - Reduce Motion) it eliminates the shadow but then you no longer get the parallax effect on the springboard.

This leads me to believe that iOS 7 places the shadow because it believes when moved a certain way a color will become more predominant and potentially make the white text hard to read.

I hope Apple in the next update will remove this annoying feature...I want clear wallpapers as the way I like, and also the moving effect..
Put an option to remove or something Apple!!

Shadow on my iphone when I set my wallpaper

Before I updated to IOS 7.1 I had this shadow on my phone and I got rid of it by going to setting on my iPhone now that I updated to IOS 7.1 it brought the shadow and I hate it I want clear screens it makes my wallpapers ugly when the shadow is on there and it needs to have an option to switch on or off for the shadow to appear on your phone cause I would sooooo keep it off cause I hate it!!!!!!!! PLEASE FIX APPLE!!!!

I hate this effect! Ruins every wallpaper i have. Man there have been some really, really dumb design decisions with ios7. How about getting rid of the amateur head of design and hiring a pro Apple?
