Hi,

I just got a Apple TV and want to remux the .mkvs I have to mp4 that will work with the ATV. All the tools I've seen recomended (Subler, iFFmpeg, MP4Tools and so on) have been OS X only. I used Handbrake to reencode but I'd like one for Windows 7 that can remux if possible and run batches. Any tips?

Best one I've found. It seems better at DTS than subler.

Thanks. I tried it this morning and have a question. Under settings and Video there are certain Presets, selecting the Apple TV one made it put a "constant bitrate" of 3000 on which would tell me it would destroy the quality of my files. I choose the preset "Slowest", would that be what gives me the best quality?

If you have an ipad you can bypass these steps, I use AirVideo on PC or Mac and the App on the ipad, it does inline conversion of all DL Movies and then I use Airplay to send to TV via Apple TV

Bullet Proof :D

Yes, but then I need to use the iPad for that which wastes battery. Sometimes I might want to do that so I can save the position on the iPad but most of the time it would only lower the quality of the content. Most of my files are high bitrate Blu-Ray content which I wouldn't want to be downscaled in AirVideo.

I have the same question as the topic-starter: the preset of appletv3 settings in the MKVTOMP4 program is 3000mb/s bitrate. The ATV handles up to 25mb/s. Is there any setting that preserves the quality - but DOESN'T let the bitrate go over 25? (which causes glitches in the viewing of the video).
