All of my movies on my hard drive have crazy file names....I just rename the info from within itunes. I am wondering if there is a way to apply the info in itunes to change the original file names..so that I dont have to change them all manually on my hard drive if I want them in some sort of order....Something like 'apply itunes info to original filename'.........I am pretty sure it isnt possible but......thought it might be worth a try =)

I know it really doesn't matter but....overly organized perhaps? I just don't like looking at them with all the weird file names....

Why do you care about the filenames?
Filenames are very important to anyone who chooses to manage their library, rather than letting iTunes do it.

To the OP: You can go to Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes for a script that will do exactly what you want, like File Renamer:

very cool...but I can not seem to find that one on the site...you know what category it is in? thanks..

edit - i didnt see its called FIle Renamer. sorry

Do you know of any script that would do just the opposite?

I need to fill the metadata from the filename... any ideas?
