I want to rename the files in the Finder. The items are all photo's (.jpg) and the source are different camera's. In order to sort correctly i want to rename these files. The only way i found is rename the file and then the Mac asks for my password. It takes a lot of time if i have to change more than 1000 files. Is there a quicker way?

I would strongly recommend using Automator (it's already installed in OS X) to do this. You can find some instructions for this simple process at:

Problem solved

Thanks for the help, i've reset the security settings and everything works fine.
Now only sorting on the right way is something to fix but that should be ok i think.
