Renaming - Hot To Advance to Next File?

This message could not be sent because your account does not have a preferred outgoing mail server. Select an outgoing mail server from the list below. In Windows, when in a folder and renaming a batch of files, I could press Tab and immediately rename the next file. Repeat repeat repeat.

Please tell me there is a similar function in OS X!?
