renaming places "home"

Hello all, I just got my macbook in and during setup up I used the default name for my "home" under "places" by accident. The name will work if it has to however I would like to rename it if I could. I remember reading that it cannot be changed before I hit continue. Is there any way around that so I can rename it?

Can I reinsert the leopard disk and do the set up over again?

Somebody out there has to know how to rename my "short name/home directory name"

I just got my mac so if I need to reinstall anything I got no data to worry about loosing.

Easiest way if you have no data:

1) Create new user account with a short name equal to what you want your home folder to be call.

2) log into new user account

3) delete other user account.

I have tried to rename the home folder - not realising that it would cause problems - I can not reverse that as the original name is no longer available - what is the easiest way to resolve the situation - I would be happy to revert to the original name.
