Hi all,

Previously when my machine had Snow Leopard on it, my other half decided she was going to change my public folder name. Not sure how on earth she did it, but i think when it was mounted on her desktop she changed it there.

I've since upgraded to Lion and it really bugs me i've got a different name to the default. How can i change it back to Darren's Public Folder?

I've tried so many ways and google searches, but can't find a fix.

Thanks for your help.
Darren

I've been looking on Google and found a few solutions for older version of OSX. They're mostly terminal fixes, but they sound pretty risky.

Can no one help on this matter?

Found a fix.

Made a note of the permissions being used for the "Public" Folder and Drop Box.

Deleted old "Pubic" folder
Create new Public with Drop Box within
Set permissions

Go to Sys pref> sharing

Delete old Public folder and add new

Done!
