Repair Corrupted Zip

I archived 12gb of photos using a zip program to transfer to a ntfs system for win xp usage.

Now I am unable to transfer back to osX because of an error message

I ran a windows program to asses the archived file and it tells be there is about 8gb of files. This was a demo only program
Whats going on
Can someone recommend a few programs to download for free to check my archived file

I had a corrupted zip and managed to get back half of it with one of these programs, but can't remember which..

Better Zip
Zipeg
Springy

Actually I'm pretty sure it was Better Zip that did it for me as it unarchives stuff into a separate folder as it finds it and does not seem to care that the the whole zip is intact
