Hi - Quick Newbie question...When I'm running the Repair Disk Permissions utility on my boot drive- do I choose the Macintosh HD icon or the one with the numbers after it? (See screengrab) Or does it matter?

I suspect the option to select the drive (rather than a specific volume like Macintosh HD) is there for people who have more than one volume on a specific drive, so that they can repair permissions across a number of volumes at once.

Having only one volume on my main drive, it does the same thing no matter which you select.

Thanks guys - the reason i ask is because i remember a Final Cut tutorial by larry jordan where he specifically suggests one or the other - and for the life of me i cant remember which one... If anyone has seen it can they suggest?
