Repair permissions issues

Hey all -

I do the regular "update permission" whenever I add new software and updates. Over the last few months, EVERY time I run the disk utility it repairs a HUGE list of invalid permissions. Even if I run repair again immeidately after, there is another huge list of repairs. Most of them seem to be associated with dashboard widgets, but there are others too. I waited for an OS X update to see if this solved it, but it didn't.

Any ideas whats up? FYI, it's running on an iMac G5.

Nothing to worry about... happens to me all the time as well since updating to 10.4.something.

There's a thread in the forums about this: basically, permissions are just more "clunky" but nothing's wrong... that is until you actually have a problem

Have a search in the forums. Lotsa explanations.
