The Boot Camp Setup Assistant told me to repair the disk using Disk Utility -- so, I tried to boot off my OS X Tiger (Retail) disk... then remembered that the retail disks don't include the Intel version of Tiger. D'OH!

Is there any way to repair a disk (not just Disk Permissions) without the MacBook's original install DVD?

Thanks for any advice!

Whoa, the retail Tiger disks really don't include Intel versions? That's kind of weird, I always assumed they updated them once Apple made the processor switch.

No need to, all intel machines came out after Tiger, so all of them have Tiger installed and on the original dvds.

EDIT: for the OP, you may be able to use target disk mode (using Firewire) on the MBP and have your PM use disk utility, but I am not completely sure.
