Repeated question on Macbook Pro

I apologize in advance if this question seems rather redundent. I have had my Powerbook for four years and am about to get a new Macbook Pro for college. My parents have told me that I can get one as soon as I'd like. Should I buy one later today (when hopefully the new ones come out) or wait until the summer when Intel's Montevina processors are due (June according to macrumors). I assume it might take a little while from release until they're put into a new Macbook Pro, but assumedly by August to take advantage of student purchases..

Anyhow, buy soon or wait until the summer?
There's no pressing need, my computer is just getting old and sluggish.
