I've got a damaged HDD in my 2006 Macbook 2,1. It still works, just really slow, and I can't record music on Logic anymore because of it. Pretty sure this model doesn't support USB Installing, and the DVD Drive is broken. I've got another HDD to replace it already, but since I can't use the install disc, and I can't intall from USB, how would I go about replacing this HDD and not leaving myself with a useless Macbook? If you guys could help me out it'd be really appreciated.

All Intell Macs and most Macs with a USB port support installation of Mac OS X from a USB port, even PowerPC Macs.
