Hi
I have created half a dozen applescripts which will automate a few tasks and then load a specific application, which is invariably a webpage. I am trying to make the Mini, which is just used to drive the TV, as child friendly as possible. Ideally I'd like OSX to boot with just a few icons in a full screen display which can then be simply navigated with left/right enter. When the application is closed it would return to the launcher.
I have looked at numerous commercial products but they seem to be more focused on kiosk style web pages. Whilst that could work, it would involve embedding scripts and I can't really face redoing the work! Essentially the launcher just needs to load the automater and nothing more. Full screen with no other options. Security is not an issue as this is purely a convenience thing for the kids.
Any thoughts?
