I just replaced the hard drive in my MacBook Pro. I did a clean install of Snow Leopard on the new hard drive. I have the old hard drive connected via USB so I can copy over any necessary files. I don't care to use Migration Assistant or Time Machine because I would rather manually copy everything over so I have a warm fuzzy that I got everything necessary.
To restore my iTunes I'm planning on just copying the entire Music folder over. Should that get everything? Or do I need to copy over the iTunes plist file in Library? Where are the iTunes preferences settings stored?
<edit>
forgot to add that the new installation has the same computer name and same username as the old box, so everything should be the same except for the physical hard drive.
