replace ibook g4 keyboard with g3?

Quite frankly, I don't really like the opaque keys on my 7/2005 12" iBook. Does anyone know if it's possible to swap out the keyboard for an iBook G3 keyboard (the one with translucent keys)? They LOOK similar enough, but I don't to spend money on something that won't work.

Considering that I just opened up an iBook G3 and G4 yesterday, the two would appear to be pin compatible.

That being said, the ribbon connector is a different shape, so you might struggle a lot to plug it in.
