Replace MacBook Pro motherboard

This may end up being quite a stupid question, and I ask that you forgive my lack of knowledge/ignorance in advance.

But I have a MacBook Pro that a family member spilled water on, ruining the motherboard. I also have my 2009 white MacBook, so my question is: could I take the motherboard out of the 2009 MacBook and put it in the 2011 MacBook Pro?
